As an example you could put all 4 primary only Vigilante mods on your sentinel's weapon for +4 to the set and put another copy of vigilante armaments (multishot) and Fervor (fire rate) on your primary and get the full 6 for the max set bonus without having to use the 2 warframe specific mods for enemy radar and shield recharge.
